teamworkTruth & Reconciliation

We are all Treaty People and passion2action INSPIRE aims to advance our shared journey towards truth and reconciliation. The event will provide a platform for local Indigenous leaders to share their truths and a stage for Indigenous performers to share the beauty of their culture. The hope is to encourage conversations and develop awareness for our shared responsibility to learn about our past and work together for a better future.

passion2action INSPIRE works towards many of the Calls to Action developed by Truth and Reconciliation Commission, including:

#63. “building student capacity for intercultural understanding, empathy, and mutual respect”
#66. “community-based youth organizations to deliver programs on reconciliation”

startupPassion to Action

Far too often, youth are told that we lack the knowledge, the experience, or the resources to make a meaningful difference in our communities. passion2action INSPIRE will empower youth to realize their potential to create a better world by showcasing a diverse array of local change makers whom have overcome obstacles for the betterment of their communities.

We want to show students that they need not look far to find role models; there are many incredible leaders in our own community that quietly make a difference every day on a wide variety of issues. By showcasing their stories, passion2action INSPIRE hopes to empower youth to take action on the issues they are passionate about, too.
