In 2025, we came together to celebrate the spirit of Saskatchewan

As the INSPIRE event continues to grow, our team was honoured to welcome the Honourable Bernadette McIntyre, Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, to the event. From a national champion break dancer and the Rider Cheer Team to a youth philanthropist and international students who have worked to better the local community, we welcomed some incredible young leaders to the INSPIRE stage.

INSPIRE 2025 Speakers & Performers

Building on our commitment to introducing young people to new role models from the local community, we were honoured and excited to welcome a number of incredible community leaders to the INSPIRE 2025 stage.

The Honourable

Bernadette McIntyre

Installed as Saskatchewan’s 24th Lieutenant Governor on January 31, 2025, Her Honour is a lifelong volunteer recognized for her extensive contributions to the community, ranging from sports and recreation to arts and culture. 

Dan Clark

A powerhouse on and off the field, Dan Clark is is a retired offensive lineman for the Riders and current president of the Roughrider Alumni Assoc. Dan’s many community involvements prove that real strength is measured by giving back.

Itohan Agbator

Itohan is a songwriter, performer, music producer, and gifted vocalist possessing range and versatility in style and genre. At her core, she is a Nigerian-born pop fusion artist whose music and personality captivates a wide range of listeners.

Asher Melanson

Asher Melanson aka BBoy Ash1 had breaking in his blood from parents BBoy Aplus and BGirl Quest. Known for dynamic power moves, musicality, and creative footwork flow, Asher is the two-time U13 Canadian National Breakdance Champion.

Amou Madol

A dual-sport athlete and pharmacy student, Amou was raised in a powerhouse sporting family that immigrated from current-day South Sudan. Encouraged by her parents, she has been named a U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian three times.

Isaiah Artavia

While his early years were filled with dreams of sports stardom, singer-songwriter Isaiah Artavia discovered his passion for music seven years ago and has since poured his heart and soul into an incredible journey of self-discovery through song.

Dastu Omer

Driven by a passion for equity, storytelling, and innovation, Dastu is a changemaker and youth advocate focused on creating inclusive spaces where underrepresented voices — especially young women of colour —can thrive.

Catherine Okolita

At just 16 years old, Catherine has already made a profound impact in her community. She founded Catherine’s Cause when she was 5 years old and has since raised over $400,000 in donations for various organizations. Catherine is dedicated to helping the community and spreading kindness.

Mohammad Akib Hossain

Akib is a South Asian Muslim who moved to Regina in 2021 as an international student. Since then, he has been actively involved with numerous organizations as a youth leader and advocate for youth voice, social justice, and multiculturalism.

Zarrin Ananna

Zarrin is a psychology honours student dedicated to education, advocacy, and social impact. She founded Study Smart, a free tutoring program for inner-city schools, and works to support girls education in Bangladesh.

Rider Cheer Team

The 2025 Rider Cheer Team is made up of a group of incredible young women who show up as exceptional role models through their work as Cheer Team members and lead by example in their personal lives as teachers, nurses, instructors, and leaders. While their excitement for Rider Nation is unmatched, they continue to reach the community, first and foremost, through kindness.

Head Coach Courtney strives to create an environment for the team to push themselves, achieve goals, and share her wealth of knowledge both on and off the field.
